The Sun-UpsHappy Indie? Yes, it is possible for a band to play songs full of gorgeous harmonies, powerful guitar and retain a pop sensibility. In fact, there’s plenty of sensitivity and exploration of emotions in these songs. Despite being a purveyor of misery in music, I have loved listening to this album. It’s like going out for a day in the summer and just having fun.

Again and again, the energy and enjoyment that comes from playing music comes through. I particularly enjoyed the track Head Full Of Worry that in parts reminded me of Curved Air. And Going West has something of the vocal cadences of You’re So Vain as if played by Blondie. Music that makes you happy? It could catch on.
