Dewy Albino

4 Track Demo Dec 2004

Dewy Albino is Birmingham musician Del Carter. Described as Del retreating to his bedroom armed with an 8-track - he has achieved his aim for short snappy indie rock tunes. THe demo quality of the recordings actually adds to their attraction. Can't Stop Stopping has a choppy rhythm and plenty of sharp guitar. Do What You Do has is infectious and exhibits some great guitar playing (a little House of Love perhaps). I will admit I don't like the first track I've Got Venom much - maybe the over-treated vocals puts me off.

So, a very good demo, better than that it's a very good example of indie. I look forward to hearing more. I have always associated Birmingham with heavy rock (I live 40 minutes away) but this CD changes my view and gives me hope.
