Grand National

Drink To Moving On Dec 2003

This is Grand National's debut CD. Drink To Moving On introduces the band as firmly in the British Indie camp with eccentricity and tuneful pop sensibility. Peanut Dreams is simply inspirational – relaxed, melodic, and who knows what it means but then who cares when it sounds so good. Softly sung dreamy vocals over a backing of tuneful bass and twin guitar stroking introduced sparingly but with great effect. Playing In The Distance and Criminal are more upbeat with more pop hooks and funkier guitar. It's a most impressive debut from a band already in full control of their own vision of music.
