Jagwag

Tridis OnForSize July 2004

Jagwag stands for JustAnotherGuyWithanAxetoGrind. And what an Axe he grinds. This is Heavy music. No quarter asked or given. Three great tracks - Bremzen, Crawl, and Metalhead that are simply power and glory of driving rhythms, Banshee guitar, and passionate vocals. Of the other tracks, I'm not so sure - maybe a bit too much reliance on percussion and not enough on actual songs. Although the overall sound lends itself to being associated with Foetus and Nine Inch Nails, I actually keep on hearing Jim Morrison, especially the vocals from the live album. In the end, I think there is a great album in Jagwag - but maybe it will be a best of.
