This record is just so full of ideas that it is hard to get a handle on
who The Peter Parkers are. Like My Bloody Valentine play Arab Strap play 16 Horsepower
play Matthews Southern Comfort play The Peter Parkers. And it all works. Let's just call it
Deep Indie - music to disturb, perplex, relax and enjoy. This is the sort of music
that has to be heard because it defies description. I recall the first album by
The Pale Saints, one that I have listened to for nearly 20 years and still find it
unfamiliar and exciting. Here's to the next 20 years of listening to The Peter Parkers.
P.S. I love the pictures of the band members on the front page of the website - the same lighting
as Queen used once (probably on Bohemain Rhapsody). Scary!
